This has been my home for the past week. Yes, I had the flu. I believe it was the swine flu, but I never actually had it tested. I was just achey and extremely fatigued. The most annoying part were the drastic temperature changes; cold sweats and shivers one minute, dying of heat the next. I was miserable for 4 days straight. I watched so much Star Trek Voyager that I think I could spout some technobable to you on the fly. Dale took good care of me. He made dinner and took care of the kids. My friend PeperLeigh even brought in a big fancy dinner for us. That was very kind. I did make it back to school on Friday to find that 4 of my students had been absent all week. Two of those kids are confirmed swine flu cases. The whole left side of my class was gone. It was sad. I hope we'll get it done and over with for the rest of the season. It isn't a nice flu. I am still fighting it a little. My fever broke a long time ago, but I am still a little achey and my head still hurts. I am still taking Excederine, but at least my stomach was never upset. Thank heavens for a small miracle.
