Recently I got a new car. Wahoo! I am trying to be humble about it, but I am really excited. It's been 10 years since I've had a new one. It is the car I wanted too: A red 2008 Chevy Impala LT3 with aluminum wheels and rear spoiler. It is a lot of fun to drive. It changes from 6 cylinders to 3 when not under strain so I get pretty good gas milage. It has XM radio (which Jessica thinks is the coolioest thing ever). It tells me the temperature outside and it has an automatic start for when it needs to warm up. I can hardly wait until it is cold enough outside to test it out. It is my 20th anniversary present from Dale. Dale is currently driving the Lumina because the Subby is running rough. Since Jordan is turning 16 soon, he will be able to drive one of the other cars when he needs to.
Over UEA weekend the family went on vacation to downtown POCATELLO, ID. Jessica's friends at USU are from Pocatello and wanted to know why we were going there. Others asked if we had family living there. The truth is we were going to go to Jackson Hole, but we couldn't find a good cheap hotel, and we decided it would be fun to go to the Lava Hot Pots, but there aren't any good hotels in Lava. Pocatello is the closest thing there is. We decided to stay in the Red Lion Inn. It was the cheepest hotel with the swimming pool that we could find online. It was a nice hotel, but they didn't have any breakfast in the morning. We ate at McDonalds for 2 of the mornings. The kids really liked the play area, and there was a basketball game that we all enjoyed playing over and over. At McDonalds I personally love Egg McMuffins, but the kids don't have any one item they love for breakfast. They settle for things like cinamin rolls and sausage.
We got there on Wednesday and the kids and Dale went swimming that very night. I hung out in the room by myself for awhile (peace and quiet). The next day we went to the mall. It is the same mall that I got my ears pierced in when I was 12. It is a mall and like most malls it's day has ended. There isn't much there now, but we found a dress shop that Valerie and Marie loved. There were dresses ther for occassions like weddings, but Marie and Valerie fell in love with them with stars in their eyes. They had to have them. The whole Homecoming Dance for Jessicas still fresh in their memories. The dresses weren't any more expensive than dresses in Sears and JC Penny so we ended up buying the dresses. I can't wait to go to church and have everyone ask if someone got married recently. It's okay though. They both thought it was the best part of the trip.
Later we went to Lava for the Hot Pots. It was cold outside, but the pools were nice and warm. We were there for a couple of hours. The girls loved playing in the rocks found on the bottom of the pool. Marie kept bring them up to look for the coolest rocks. We had a lot of rocks to sweep of the steps when we were finished.

The next day we were going to go to the Pocatello zoo, but it is currently opened only on weekends, so we went to the ISU Museum of Natural History. It is by no means as good as the U of U's Museum of Natural History, but it gave us something to do. The kids especially like to play in the kids discovery center. It was fun. Later we went back to the hotel and the kids went swimming. I choose to take pictures and read at poolside.
The next day we went to Perkins Resteraunt for breakfast and on the way home we listened to Confrence. Driving in the car is the best way to listen to Conference because in the car we are captive audiences. We just got home as Conference ended. We got everything unpacked and I got the laundry started. Jessica met us at home. She came home to watch Conference with us over the weekend. It was really good to see her and get caught up once again. By the way Chewy and Stan say "Howdy!"

Seriously Amy, you have the prettiest girls I have ever seen. Every single one of them is beautiful. And I can't believe that Jordan is 16! It was so fun to sit and chat with you at Pizzeria. You have always been the older sis I never had...oh wait... :)
